Utility truck

I'm happy to provide you with an update on our 2023 construction projects. Our employees and contractors are busy working on projects throughout our service area. If you are included in one of our build areas scheduled for this year, we will be reaching out to let you know that fiber is coming to your location as our construction progresses. Also, to help keep you updated on our fiber projects and availability please visit getfiber.wcvt.com and register your address. The "Service Area" link has our build areas mapped and broken out by status which may be helpful to you.

Construction season is here and we continue to make progress converting customers to fiber. To date, we've converted more than 8,100 customers to fiber and that number continues to grow. Over the next few years, we are investing approximately $45 million dollars in extending fiber-to-the-home to the communities we serve. These are large capital construction projects that have many moving parts and pieces. While we can't reach everyone overnight, please know that every single dollar we invest in fiber is benefiting Vermont and the local communities we serve. Building fiber to everyone is going to take time, but each and every day, we are making progress.

Sincerely,

Eric Haskin

Norwich University Students Visit WCVT

WCVT recently hosted a group of computer networking students from Norwich University at our Richmond Central Office. The students were given a tour of the facility and learned about the company's history, technology, and operations. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and were particularly interested in learning about the evolution from copper to fiber optics and impressed by the company's commitment to outage preparedness and recovery. Overall, the students had a positive experience and it was a great opportunity for WCVT employees to share their knowledge and help educate the next generation of IT professionals.

We would like to thank all of the WCVT employees who were involved in the event. We could not have hosted the students without your help. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.
